How can we stand so tall,
When people are dying in a mall.
It's no longer safe to watch movies,
And kids fight over loonies.
What are we coming to,
When killers are in the shadows waiting for their cue.
I remember when kids roamed free,
Were always home in time for tea.
Now sick men patrol the streets,
Tempting children with their treats.
Integrity is getting so hard to find,
Constant death is damaging my mind.
We send our love to the people who suffer,
Truth is we need more of a buffer.
A long time solution to a society gone wrong,
This history of violence has gone on too long...
